APPLYING FOR NORTH GASTON VOLUNTEER FIRE AND RESCUE
North Gaston Volunteer Fire and Rescue is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. Learn more about what we do, who we help, and how we work every day to promote positive change. If you are considering being a volunteer firefighter please feel free to stop by our department you can pick up an application. We have meetings on every Monday night from 6pm-8pm and Saturdays from 9am-12pm, or feel free to give us a call at (704)-735-0618. Anyone from the age of 14-17 may apply for our junior firefighter program and anyone 18 and up may apply to be a firefighter.
The mission of North Gaston Volunteer Fire and Rescue shall be to promote, through community service and education, fire and emergency medical service, fire safety and fire prevention; and to allow its members to develop fully and individually through fire and emergency medical training. We strive to put that training into service for the betterment of the community and the fire service as a whole. The membership shall represent the chartering organization, fire and emergency medical services, and North Gaston Volunteer Fire and Rescue with dignity, honor, and loyalty.

Chief Dennis Cash has been our chief for over 20 years he has served in the fire service for over 50 years. Chief cash always leads by example and goes the extra mile toto make sure our members are safe and taken care of. Needless to say, he is an overall great leader.
